God’s City International Church (GCIC) will host its highly anticipated Special Power Touch Night, themed “All-Round Settlement,” on February 20, 2026, at the Velodrome, Abuja National Stadium.
The programme, which draws worshippers from across Nigeria and beyond, promises a night of spiritual revival, healing, and breakthroughs.
Founded by Pastor Matthew Morakinyo and Pastor Mary Morakinyo, the church’s mission is Deliverance, Rescue, Restoration, and Mobile Fire, which guides its events and outreach initiatives.
Organisers describe the night as a platform for Nigerians seeking solutions to personal, family, and health challenges, with prayers and prophetic ministrations designed to bring both restoration and deliverance.
Leading gospel ministers, including Leke Gospel, Steve Crown, Prospa Ochimana, and Courage, will minister, alongside the church’s founders. The night will also feature GCIC Mass Choir, African Praise, Spirit and Truth, The Jolly Children, and other invited gospel ministers.
According to GCIC officials, the event is expected to draw thousands of worshippers, reflecting growing interest in spiritual programmes that combine worship with real-life church testimonies.
“This programme is about bringing hope and transformation to those in need of restoration and deliverance,” said Pastor Matthew Morakinyo. “We have witnessed incredible testimonies from members of our church, and we believe that every worshipper who attends in faith will experience life-changing breakthroughs.”
Among the church’s testimonies is that of a member whose son, Samuel Ayomide, survived a near-fatal accident. He recounted the harrowing moment when his wife called to say that Samuel had been rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
“She was panicking, saying ‘come, come, come,’” he recalled. “We contacted the pastor, who prayed fervently and declared that Samuel’s premature journey to eternity was interrupted.
Today, Samuel is alive and well. It was a moment of profound relief and gratitude.”
The same member also shared his personal health breakthrough. Diagnosed with severe kidney failure, doctors warned that urgent dialysis was necessary and that his condition could be life-threatening. At the time, his creatinine levels had reportedly risen to dangerous levels, and his body was severely swollen.
“Doctors told me that my kidneys were damaged and that I needed urgent dialysis,” he said. “After prayers at the church, including specific declarations concerning kidney disease, follow-up scans and blood tests revealed that my kidneys were functioning normally. The only issue detected was malaria.”
Testimonies like these, organisers say, reflect the programme’s theme of holistic restoration and deliverance.
Worshippers have reported breakthroughs in health, finances, relationships, and personal growth, highlighting the broad appeal of the event.
GCIC officials emphasised the inclusive nature of the programme. “Our aim is to reach worshippers from all walks of life. The night is open to anyone seeking restoration, deliverance, or spiritual direction,” said Pastor Mary Morakinyo.
“We want those attending to leave with renewed faith and confidence in their future.”
The Special Power Touch Night is part of a series of annual events hosted by GCIC, known for combining worship, teaching, and prophetic ministrations with real-life church testimonies.
